Malam Jabba is one of the great hill stations of Swat Valley in the Hindu Kush mountain range near Saidu Sharif, in the province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan.

It was developed as a skiing resort by Pakistan Tourism and Development Corporation. It was reinstated and rebuilt as a skiing resort in 2014. Malam Jabba also has Buddhist stupas and monasteries around the area that unfold the history.


Malam Jabba is located in KPK province in Pakistan. It is about 315 Km from Capital of Pakistan, Islamabad and 50 Km from the Saidu Sharif airport in Swat Valley.

Famous For

Malam Jabba is the only ski resort in Pakistan. The recent developments have made Malam Jabba known to the world. The resort has been fully equipped with modern facilities including roller/ice-skating Channels, chair lifts, skiing start-ups, communication, and snow clearing equipment. The Malam Jabba Ski Resort is currently owned by the Samsons Group of Companies.

Moreover, new four-star hotel, chair lifts, cable cars, ski slopes and snow boarding is upcoming developments in the area. The resort will be the first of its kind in Pakistan with very immense  facilities for winter sporting and adventure tourism in Pakistan.

The area also contains a couple of Buddhist stupas and six other monasteries, other than the stupas, that are scattered around the resort. The existence of the monuments at such a height reveals that the area has been inhabited for over 2000 years.
