Leepa Valley is located at 1921m above sea level in east of Muzaffarabad, the capital city of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), being famous for green mountains covered with pine trees, snow falling during winters, traditional Kashmiri style of architecture like three-story wooden houses and its charming villages of Leepa, Reshian, Dao Khan, and Chananian.
The site is being visited by tourists between May to November due to weather conditions.
Reshian village is the entry point to the leepa valley, situated at 1674 meters (5492 ft) above from sea level and about 68 km from Muzaffarabad. From Reshian village 4*4 jeeps are used to move forward which can be rented from the village.
Chananian village is located near the line of control (LOC), famous for Nullah Qazi Naag flowing nearby and wide pine forest.
Dao khan is peaceful and calm atmosphere village with an attitude of 2490 meters and situated at 75 km from Muzaffarabad.
Leepa village lies in the center of Leepa Valley, famous for unique Kashmiri architecture including three story wooden houses, grooming fields of rice and trees of Walnut, Apple, Cherry and honey. The village is located at the height of 1921m from sea level and about 38 km from the Reshian village.
The Valley is situated about 100 km from the capital city of Muzaffarabad, along the Jhelum River, there is a narrow road, leads you to Reshian, from there you will have three routes to visit the valley.
